There will be two twenty-one-and-older MSI After Hour events as part of the Spring Make Festival at the Museum of Science and Industry. The first will be MSI After Hours: Science on Tap, on Friday, March 23, 2018, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This event will provide a chance to learn about the chemistry that underlies brewing beer. There will be a home-brewing workshop. Brewers from Empirical Brewery will explain how scientific principles impact beer flavors. In the Make Shop, there will be three activities: vinyl-cutting 3D printing, and building a working LED light. Participants will be able to take home their custom-made creations. Tickets for the Make Shop will be available on-site on a first come, first served basis.
During MSI After Hours: Science on Tap, one will be able to walk around exhibits with one’s customized koozie (a koozie being a sleeve that thermally insulates a beverage container) after the Museum of Science and Industry has closed to the public for the night. Admission for this adult-only event costs $30 and includes snacks, one beer or cocktail, parking in the subterranean garage, and access to over a dozen exhibits. A cash bar will also be available. One can get 25% off – up to $5 off – Lyft rides both to and from this MSI After Hours event. Click here to for the promotional code and details.
